Bec's interest in naturopathy and gut health grew out of personal experience.
As a young child, Bec was frequently unwell and experienced a number of health challenges that required repeated courses of antibiotics. In Bec's teenage years, antibiotics were prescribed again—this time to manage persistent acne breakouts. Over time, Bec developed ongoing fatigue, anxiety, and digestive symptoms. It wasn’t until adulthood that she was finally diagnosed with low thyroid function and an autoimmune condition, both of which were being compounded by poor gut health.
Making dietary changes—especially removing gluten—made a significant difference to how she felt, though it hasn’t always been easy. As Bec sates, "Trying to eat differently in the context of traditional Italian family gatherings comes with its own kind of issues!"
These lived experiences have shaped Bec's approach as a naturopath and fuelled her passion for supporting those with skin conditions that have underlying gut involvement. Bec works with clients to identify and address what’s happening beneath the surface and focus on restoring gut health to support clearer skin, steadier energy, and more balanced overall health.
Bec has been a practising naturopath for over 22 years, and her work is grounded in evidence-based care. Alongside clinical practice, Bec has worked in the health food industry, trained pharmacy assistants across Australia, and regularly provide education to other health professionals and the general public.
This is often the ‘Aha’ moment. I screen share your pathology results, and give you answers to your skin wobbles. This is when the puzzle pieces come together, and you can stop overthinking and looking for answers.
After your session I spend around 45 mins on your pathology protocol, including customised compounded supplements and herbs.
I usually recommend having return sessions every 6 weeks for the first 4-6 months, and then we can move to quarterly catch ups.
A chance for us to meet, vibe and map out the journey together. No skin advice given in this session, but we will share our testing Wishlist so you can get your labs uploaded before your first Initial Consult.
Note: due to Asha getting close to closing her books, these sessions are available with Bec or April, Naturopaths Mentored by Asha
When you book, you will receive an invite to your client portal and my intake forms. I review these, as well as any existing pathology and skin pics before we meet.
I take a comprehensive history, as well as answer your Q’s. It’s a safe space to express your emotions.
After your session, I spend around 45 mins on your first protocol which is your guide for food, skincare, supplements, testing, hydration, minerals and more! We need to nail the foundations before we move on to the deeper healing.
